Blessing of the Animals

Blessing of the Animals will be Wednesday, October 4 at 12:00 p.m. by the Sladdich fountain.

Come celebrate St. Francis of Assisi and how animals bless our lives. Father Tyler will be saying a blessing to all of the animals in attendance. If you have an animal on campus bring it to be blessed at the fountain outside of the Cube and Borromeo Hall!

The Feast of St Francis of Assisi in the United States is on October 4. The feast commemorates the life of St Francis, who was born in the 12th century and is the Catholic Church’s patron saint of animals and the environment. It is a popular day for pets to be “blessed”. All are welcome to this annual event on campus, please practice social distancing.
