Part-Time Athletic Facilities Event Coordinator

Description: Carroll College, a private, Catholic liberal arts college located in Helena, Montana seeks a part-time Athletic Facilities Event Coordinator.  This is a part time position that provides facility supervision during non-campus events hosted in the PE Center and Nelson Stadium, oversight of facility take-down for PE Center events, and facility clean-up following PE Center events.  The position reports to the Associate Athletic Director of Student Athlete Health and Well Being and will supervise athletic teams and non-profit groups performing event take down and clean-up.  Availability to work evenings and weekends is necessary.

Major Responsibilities and Duties include:

  • Serves as a facility supervisor when PE Center and Nelson Stadium are being used by non-campus entities.
    • Unlock spaces requested in usage agreement
    • Serve as a liaison to facility users to accommodate needs and requests
    • Assure that only the equipment and spaces requested in usage agreement are being used as intended
    • Contact institutional entities as situations arise with operation systems (HVAC, Fire Safety, Plumbing, etc.) that need immediate attention
    • Perform emergency cleaning functions as needed
    • Secure building after facility usage is finished
  • Supervise take-down of event
    • Give direction to Carroll Athletic teams performing event take down responsibilities
    • Have general knowledge and understanding of equipment used for events, how to take down equipment, and storage locations for equipment
    • Assist with take down of equipment as needed
  • Provide direction to groups cleaning facilities after events in the PE Center and Nelson Stadium
    • Have working knowledge and familiarity using cleaning supplies and equipment
    • Give access to cleaning supplies and equipment to individuals performing post event cleaning
    • Supervise individuals performing post event cleaning
    • Assist with clean-up as needed
    • Secure buildings after events are finished
  • Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications: The Athletic Facilities Event Coordinator will need to have good verbal communications skills and be committed to performing quality customer service.  Familiarity with and understanding of PE Center and Nelson Stadium spaces and operating systems will be required.  Knowledge of how to used event and custodial equipment and cleaning supplies.  The Athletic Facilities Event Coordinator will need to be a self-starter and able to work with little supervision.
