Part-time Administrative Assistant

Description: Carroll College, a Catholic liberal arts college located in Helena, Montana is seeking a Part-time Administrative Assistant to the Department of Mathematics, Engineering, and Computer Science.  This is a part-time position not to exceed 15 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters.

Responsibilities include managing office operations and providing administrative support to the faculty and other staff members in the department; assisting with accreditation activities for the Civil Engineering Program, including reporting, budgeting, and arranging for visits; organizing and maintaining computer based archives for accreditation and assessment; assisting the department chair and program directors with course scheduling (e.g., times, classrooms, laboratories, instructors, and students), budget operations (e.g., purchase orders, reimbursement and payment requests), catalog updates, and preparing/submitting reports; maintaining and disseminating an engineering program calendar with important dates for various activities and due dates for reports and submittals; planning and organizing meetings, events and receptions; recording and disseminating minutes for various engineering program faculty meetings; assisting with department travel arrangements; monitoring  and maintaining department web pages in cooperation with department faculty, IT, and marketing staff.

Qualifications:  The successful candidate must be able to work independently and manage multiple complex assignments; demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills including effective written and oral communication; be comfortable in and promote a professional work environment; be adept with a variety of computer and internet technologies, programs, and applications, including proficiency with Microsoft® Word and Excel; possess excellent analytical and organizational skills.
