Description: Carroll College, a Catholic liberal arts college located in Helena, Montana is seeking a is seeking a Library Director. This full time, 11-month non-faculty position is responsible for managing the overall operation of the library and serving as a member of the Learning Commons leadership team. Duties include supervising operations and employees; formulating and implementing policies and procedures; preparing and administering the annual budget; developing, and managing facilities in collaboration with other members of the Learning Commons leadership team; supervising student employees in collaboration with the Circulation Supervisor; overseeing library collections, services, goals, and priorities; leading the provision of up-to-date library support and resources for students and faculty; and cooperating with faculty and administration to realize the College mission. This position also collaborates with academic partners to develop, implement, promote, and assess a Learning Commons model that actively engages students and supports academic success.
Qualifications: Successful applicants will have an earned MLS from an ALA accredited library school; demonstrated ability to work with administration, faculty and students; demonstrated effective supervisory and administrative skills; proven excellent communication and organizational skills; knowledge of academic library work, current issues and trends; ability to manage an academic library budget.
