Position:            Donor Outreach and Social Media Work Study

Summary:         Responsible for assisting the Helena Habitat for Humanity ReStore in developing strategies for community engagement and donor development, while increasing the ReStore’s social media presence.  


Community Outreach and Engagement

Work alongside the ReStore manager to research listings of manufacturers, distributors, contractors and vendors. Develop and implement strategies for reaching out to donors. Develop plans, activities and materials to engage groups and individuals to further the mission and work of Habitat for Humanity and the ReStore. Work closely with staff and volunteers to develop plans for engaging the community.

Social Media

Assist the Helena Habitat for Humanity ReStore in growing our social media presence including facebook, twitter, Instagram; strategize website content and design. Integrate ReStore sales strategies in social media presence. Develop content for Habitat’s website.

Position Requirements:
  • Must be Work Study Eligible.
  • Support and endorse the Habitat for Humanity mission.
  • Great attitude, hard-working, tenacious.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Publisher, databases and social networking media.  Experience with Excel and website publishing desired.
  • Ability to train persons of varying skill levels and to work with a wide spectrum of people in a collaborative way.
  • Integrity, organization, attention to detail, ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work some Saturdays.
  • Ability to climb stairs to access second floor office.

Length of Employment:  Academic Year

Wage Rate:  $10.00/hour
