Director of Grants and Contracts for Institutional Advancement

Description: Carroll College, a Catholic liberal arts college located in Helena, Montana is seeking a Director of Grants and Contracts to join our Institutional Advancement staff.  The Director of Grants works closely with the Office of Institutional Advancement as well Academics and the Business Office. The Director of Grants and Contracts researches, advises, guides, and supports campus efforts to secure external funding. In addition to supporting faculty and staff in their grant proposals, the Director of Grants and Contracts also oversees the identification of funding opportunities for critical campus initiatives and drafts full proposals to advance the college’s mission. This position is also responsible for managing and documenting the sponsored program function of the college, practicing good stewardship of funds secured from external sources, coordinating adherence to institutional policies related to grants and grants management, maintaining communication with internal and external constituencies who participate in grants, and assisting faculty and members of the Office of Institutional Advancement with descriptions of projects.

Qualifications:  Experience in all aspects of grant research, submission and management of funding from private foundations, corporate foundations, and federal agencies is required. The successful applicant will have the ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing. Proven ability to manage a demanding workload using good organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy is needed. A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
