Assistant Professor of French

The department of Languages & Literature at Carroll College invites applications for a full-time tenure-track generalist position as Assistant Professor of French to begin August 2017. The ability to teach a second language (e.g. Arabic) through the intermediate level is also highly desirable. Responsibilities will include teaching beginning, intermediate, and upper-division courses in language and literature. Native or near-native command of French is required. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching. Candidates must have PhD or be advanced ABD with a firm defense date at time of appointment.
