Technology Support Center
Support for Technology Services is provided primarily through the Help Desk housed in the Technology Support Center in Room 023, on the main floor of St. Charles Hall. The Help Desk can be reached by telephone @ 406-447-4357 (HELP), online at https://helpdesk.carroll.edu, or in person by visiting the Technology Support Center.
The Help Desk assists with wifi connectivity, software updates, technology troubleshooting and more. Students are advised to bring their laptops to the Technology Support Center to receive individualized assistance with connectivity problems and more.
CCIT can assist students with software troubleshooting and network connectivity issues and with limited operating system and hardware issues. In the case of hardware issues, CCIT encourages students to pursue warranty repairs if applicable. If you need your computer repaired, there are many reputable repair stores in Helena. Most are near campus and some offer special pricing for students. Check the yellow pages or contact the Help Desk at 447-4357 for locations.
Tech Saints, CCIT-trained student technology specialists, work as part of the Technology Support Team to assist with a variety of technical needs, including: anti-virus installation, malware and virus removal, wireless connection assistance, printing assistance and more. See our Staff page to see who our current Tech Saints are.
Recommended Computer Systems
- Windows 10
- Mac OS 10.13 or newer
A laptop computer system is highly recommended. A laptop with wireless connectivity, and purchased within the last two years will work on our network. A tablet system, although useful for many situtations, may not be sufficient for specific academic programs or specific coursework.
Computer supplies are available in the Saints Shoppe. If you are looking for a new software application, the Saints' Shoppe will be glad to order it for you at Carroll's educational discount prices.
