"FIRST Tech Challenge" Robotics Competition
12/07/2019 - 7:00am to 6:00pm
Carroll College is hosting 30+ teams of students in grades 7-12 from Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, and Washington for the “FIRST Robotics” regional qualifier event. FIRST Tech Challenge teams (up to 15 team members, grades 7-12) are challenged to design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in a head-to-head challenge in an alliance format. Guided by adult coaches and mentors, students develop STEM skills and practice engineering principles, while realizing the value of hard work, innovation, and working as a team. For more details on the contest, visit: https://www.firstinspires.org/robotics/ftc.
By hosting, Carroll is providing space for the competition and is leading efforts to recruit judges (from Carroll and community) and volunteers (mainly Carroll students).
