03/23/2019 - 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Tickets will be sold during lunch (11:00a-1:00p) in the Upper Cube Wednesday March 13. We will also be selling tickets during CSA office hours in the CSA/ASCC office in the Upper Cube, those hours are Thursday morning at 8:00-10:00 am Friday 12:00-2:00 pm, and you can buy tickets at our Throwback dance Friday night. Tickets are $15 per person (cash).

This is the night when we say “thank you” to all our Seniors for their time here at Carroll and for all they have done to make this college a special place.  It is also the night when the seniors pass the torch to the Juniors as they will become the oldest brothers and sisters of this Carroll family. What is the meaning of this tradition?  What does it mean to “pass the torch”? What is the promise made on this night? Going back many years there has been a caring and compassionate promise made by the upperclassman. This night recognizes the fact that the Juniors and Seniors at Carroll are the big brothers and sisters in this Carroll family.  These promises make Carroll a special place:

  • I will be loving and caring to my Carroll family.
  • I will respect the dignity of every individual and protect that dignity with my actions.
  • I will take action to assure no one is taken advantage of, or left in a harmful situation.
  • I am proud to be a Saint and I promise to care for my brothers and sisters.

This year we are doing the event a little differently than it has been done in the past. We are changing the format from a semi-formal reception to a more formal sit down dinner. For dinner there will be a choice of London Broil of Beef or Lemon Thyme Chicken with roast spaghetti squash, mixed greens, and a selection of fruit on the side, Wheat Montana rolls, and iced chocolate cake for desert.

The order of events will be as follows:

  • 6:00-6:30: Pre-dinner social with drinks and appetizers
  • 6:30-6:45: Speeches
  • 6:45-7:30: Dinner and slideshow
  • 7:30-8:00: Post dinner social

If you would like to nominate yourself or someone else to give one of the two speeches please do so here: https://goo.gl/forms/ccj9Jih2cJHMHP5l2

If you have pictures you want to be included in the slide show please email them to jbowman@carroll.edu with the subject: Junior Senior Photo.
