Summer Class Pre-Registration Begins
03/04/2021 - 8:30am to 5:00pm
The schedule for Summer 2021 courses is now available for viewing in Self Service!
Mark your calendars -- we will be opening pre-registration for Summer 2021 on Thursday, March 4th. We do not assign specific registration times for the summer, so all current Carroll students will be able to register on a first-come, first-served basis.
This summer's schedule has a wide variety of in-person, remote (synchronous), and online (asynchronous) summer courses. Everyone can view the details about Carroll’s summer session, including information about costs, refund deadlines, financial aid, housing, and registration at: www.carroll.edu/summer. An Excel version of the current Summer 2021 class schedule with all of the important dates and deadlines is also available here.
Carroll’s summer courses are offered at a tuition rate of $680 per credit plus fees, which is a discount of over 55% from our academic year tuition rate. Summer session offerings include both Core and discipline-specific courses, making summer a great time to either catch up or get ahead on your requirements! Courses vary in length (with 3, 6, 8, and 12 week options) and begin at different times throughout the summer, allowing for flexibility around other commitments. Online courses offered through Carroll and our consortium partnership make summer school available to all Carroll students, no matter if they are in Helena or elsewhere around the country or world.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Registrar’s Office at (406) 447-5435 or email@example.com, or stop by and visit us in O’Connell Hall weekdays between 9am and 4pm!
Online Consortium Courses
Carroll College is a member of the Online Consortium of Independent Colleges and Universities (OCICU). Through this partnership, Carroll is able to expand our online offerings in the summer by facilitating our students’ enrollment in a variety of courses provided by institutions such as Saint Leo University, Regis University, and University of the Incarnate Word.
Students will not need to enroll in transfer credits but rather will register for online consortium courses through Self-Service Student Planning. The tuition for these courses will be billed to the Carroll student account at the regular summer tuition rate and will be recorded on the student’s official Carroll transcript. Students will be given access to the course provider’s learning management system (e.g. Moodle, Blackboard, etc.) and will complete the online course alongside other students throughout the consortium.
Online consortium course dates will vary slightly from Carroll’s typical undergraduate summer session dates, and courses are generally eight weeks long.
Online consortium courses are easily identified in the schedule with an “OC” at the end of the section letter. Please note that Carroll College’s academic and financial policies and deadlines will apply to these courses. For more information, please visit the Summer Session webpage at: www.carroll.edu/summer.
