Come celebrate with us as we wish Director of Career Services a happy retirement on Tuesday, May 1 from 12:30-2:00 p.m. in the Saints Success Center (Borro 102/108). There will be refreshments and cake - students,  come and thank Rosie for her dedication to Carroll and making sure students have career help. Rosie has been at Carroll for 39 years, help us ensure she is given a proper goodbye!

Note: There will be an additional retirement party for Rosie in order for faculty and staff to say goodbye on Thursday, May 2 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Fortin Science Center Scola.

Cor/Via are separate Campus Ministry formation groups for both women and men so that each gender can ask questions and explore issues that are relevant to their unique take on life. They both meet every Tuesday that classes are in session from 5:50-7pm.

Cor's default location is the Maronick Board Room, Via's is the Siena Room of the Lower Cube.

Join us for a lecture by Dr. Steven Forde, Professor Emeritus of Political Science at the University of North Texas. His lecture is entitled "Can There Be Too Much Toleration: Locke on Religion, Culture, and Politics," and will be held on Tuesday, May 1 @ 7:00pm in O'Connell Hall 102.

Professor Forde's research encompasses many areas within political philosophy. He has published Locke, Science and Morality (Cambridge University Press), and The Ambition to Rule: Alcibiades and the Politics of Imperialism (Cornell University Press). He has also published articles and book chapters on American political thought, classical and modern thought, evolution and political theory, and international ethics. He is the former editor of the American Political Science Review.

This event is supported by the Jack Miller Center through a grant from the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust. Sponsored by the Carroll College Political Science Department.

Jazz Band Spring Concert

The Carroll College Jazz Band will present their Spring Concert, “Spring Is Here to Stay,” on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at 7:30 p.m. in the Flex Theatre.  The band will be joined by special guest trumpeter Zach Buie.  The program will feature tunes by Nat Adderley, Kenny Dorham, Duke Ellington, Frank Foster, Neal Hefti, Thelonious Monk, Lee Morgan, Gerry Mulligan, Louis Prima and Stanley Turrentine.  Vocal numbers will include Love Is Here to Stay, The Lady Is a Tramp, and You Go to My Head
