Federal Loan Exit Counseling

Federal Loan Exit Counseling is MANDATORY for all graduates who have borrowed federal loans while in attendance at Carroll College. According to our records you will be completing your degree this spring. YOU MUST ATTEND ONE of the scheduled exit counseling sessions listed below.

Caps, gowns and college transcripts may be held for students with incomplete Exit Counseling.

Federal Loan Exit Counseling is required for each loan type (Stafford and Perkins) prior to your last date of attendance. You are receiving this email because our records indicate you have borrowed at least one type of federal student loan while in attendance at Carroll.

PLAN AHEAD: You must have an active FSA ID in order to complete the required Stafford Loan Exit Counseling, to verify your FSA ID is active,visit the website. You will not be able to complete the required exit counseling unless you have an FSA ID. You will also need your driver's license number, social security number, and the names and addresses for three references. Federal Perkins Loan borrowers must complete a separate Loan Exit Counseling online through the University Accounting Service website, you will need a UAS Issued PIN in order to complete the Perkins Exit Counseling, vis UAS to Request a UAS Issued PIN. If you have issues with the UAS Issued PIN request,you may contact me for assistance.

Information about your federal loans may be accessed online through the NSLDS website (FSA ID login is also required). This site contains information about federal student loans only, it does not include private education loan information. If you've borrowed private education loans and need lender information, you may contact me for assistance.

One hour Federal Loan Exit Counseling sessions will be held in the Simperman Hall Computer Labs on the following dates. Please mark your calendar to attend one of the sessions.

  • Tuesday, April 17 SH146 12:30pm - 1:30pm.
  • Wednesday, April 18 SH145 7:30am - 8:30am; 8:30am - 9:30am; 12:00 pm - 1:00pm; or 4:00pm - 5:00pm
  • Thursday, April 19 SH146 12:30pm - 1:30pm or 3:30pm - 4:30pm
  • Friday, April 20 SH146 4:00pm - 5:00pm
  • Monday, April 23 SH146 7:30am - 8:30am or 3:00pm - 4:00pm

Cor/Via are separate Campus Ministry formation groups for both women and men so that each gender can ask questions and explore issues that are relevant to their unique take on life. They both meet every Tuesday that classes are in session from 5:50-7pm.

Cor's default location is the Maronick Board Room, Via's is the Siena Room of the Lower Cube.
