Scholarship Application and Guidelines
The Future Genetic Counselor Scholarship is a $2,000 scholarship. It will be awarded on September 1, 2020. Applicants must be enrolled in a full-time graduate degree program in the field of genetic counseling in a program that is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Genetic Counseling (ACGC).
We ask that applying students complete a 1,000-1,500 word essay answering the prompt:
“Given the bottlenecks in the current healthcare system, how might changes be structured to increase access to genetic counseling services?”
Applicants must complete the form below and submit their essay using the “Upload” button. Alternatively, applicants can email their submission and information to scholarships@yourdna.com.
A panel of judges that includes licensed genetic counselors will review the applications and choose a winner, to be announced on September 1, 2020.
All applications must be received no later than August 21, 2020 for the Fall 2020 scholarship, The winner will receive a one-time scholarship check of $2,000 to be used for educational expenses.
