Carroll College chemistry undergraduate research students and chemistry majors Meghan Benda and Victoria Kong had their abstracts accepted to present their research results at the National American Chemical Society (ACS). They both gave poster presentations on March 23rd in Denver, CO, where more than 10,000 attendees from all over the world came together to explore the most recent developments in chemistry.

Students Gather at the National American Chemical Society (ACS)

Victoria works with professor Rowley to investigate the fundamental chemical mechanisms behind the harvesting of renewable solar energy. Meghan works with professor Pharr on the synthesis of a novel compound that should emit blue light and has potential applications in new technologies including Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLEDs).
