This year’s recipient of the Outstanding Teaching Award is Dr. Kyle Strode, associate professor of chemistry. The recipient of the award is selected by the Faculty Development Committee on behalf of faculty, staff and students of Carroll College in recognition of excellence in the classroom, in student advising, and as a role model and inspiration for Carroll students.
Dr. Strode is frequently described by his students as an exceptionally enthusiastic and engaging professor who is very vested in their success both inside and outside the classroom. He encourages an active learning environment and caters his teaching methods to help target different learning styles. His students know that he expects a lot out of them but he faithfully provides his time, resources and patient guidance to help them succeed.
This award was presented to Dr. Strode during the 2016 commencement ceremonies.
