Marching Back Update Graphic

Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,

We are one week before the end of the semester and the holiday break. Stay vigilant and stay healthy as you finish up finals.

COVID Cash: Get caught doing the right thing
Thanks to a partnership with the Helena Area Chamber of Commerce, Carroll launched the “COVID Cash” program. In the final week of the semester, faculty and staff will be looking for students doing their best to reduce the spread of COVID-19 on campus by wearing a mask, respecting social distancing and practicing good hygiene. We have a number of $50 gift certificates to give away this week. Congratulations to last week’s winners:

  • Emma Patek
  • Katherine Votava
  • Courteney Boyle
  • Noah Lohar
  • Abigail Peterson
  • Helen Badaruddin

Final fall COVID-19 testing days
All students are encouraged to get a COVID-19 test before they leave for the semester break. All asymptomatic students, faculty and staff can still be tested at the Wellness Center:

  • Monday 9 am - 12 pm  and 1 pm - 4 pm
  • Tuesday 9 am - 12 pm

Anyone receiving a positive test will still need to follow the protocols in place, including the required isolation. Anyone identified as a close contact will also need to follow the protocols in place with the 14 day quarantine from their last contact with a positive case. The college is here to help coordinate and support this. Students should fill out the COVID-19 reporting form if they are contacted with a positive test result or ordered to quarantine by Lewis and Clark Public Health.

Get ready for next semester
Please continue to monitor your Carroll College email over break as we will be delivering updates to the Marching Back Plan, as well as what changes will be made during the spring semester to continue to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. We have learned many things this fall which will inform our plans as we move forward. The college is currently discussing testing protocols, additional safety and health measures and travel policies, along with watching changes in both state and national policies. Please stay informed over the break.

Best of luck on finals – finish strong!
