Finding Our Niche

Carroll once again finds itself at the top of the college rankings for Montana. This time it was Niche.com that rated Carroll College as the #1 Best College in Montana for 2016 in a national ranking of colleges. In addition, Carroll was #34 overall in Best Catholic Colleges in the nation.

Rankings were determined by assessing over 1,100 public and private four-year colleges and universities across the U.S. Ten different factors were evaluated using statistical data and student surveys such as strength of the academic program, the aptitude of professors, the quality of campus amenities, and the general character of student life.  Niche’s methodology can be found here

Some other Montana rankings where Carroll came out on top:  Best Colleges for Student Athletes in Montana, Safest College Campus in Montana, Hardest to Get In in Montana, and Best Small Colleges in Montana.

Carroll travels to Edmonton on October 23-25 to compete in the University of Alberta Novice Open. Carroll’s upper class teams open competition this weekend in Portland at the Lewis & Clark tournament.

“We’re just getting started,” said Carroll professor and long-time Talking Saints coach Brent Northup. “But spirits are good and the frosh are working hard. The heart of our fall season is from now until November 15 with five events ranging from Wyoming to Oregon to Vermont to Alberta, so we’ve been holding two and three hour practice sessions regularly. We’ll be ready.”
