About the “I’m a Survivor Scholarship”

The legal team at The Cochran Firm – Nashville, LLC has handled more than their share of personal injury cases where accident victims suffer catastrophic injuries.

“We have seen how the sheer trauma of such an accident, on top of coping with the resulting physical injuries, can derail a person—and their family—from the natural course of their lives,” said Ashley L. Upkins, Managing Partner of The Cochran Firm – Nashville.

Upkins says that, while the law firm fights to help such victims recover financially from a catastrophic accident, we also want to help catastrophic accident survivors and their family members to imagine a brighter future by helping to pay for their college education.

“We want to award this scholarship to someone who has come through a catastrophic accident with courage and strength of character, passion, and perseverance—someone with true grit,” Upkins adds. “We believe a person like this will go far in life and can be a beacon of hope for other victims.”
