Application Deadline is June 1 for Fall and Spring Semesters
Benefis Health System Foundation’s Healthcare Scholarship Program is designed to help students from Great Falls and the region pursue dreams of having satisfying careers as healthcare providers. Since many of these students plan to live and work in Great Falls, the program also assists with Benefis Health System’s recruitment and retention efforts to ensure compassionate, quality care is extended to all patients.
The Healthcare Scholarship Program offers a general Medical Education Scholarship, more than a dozen Named Scholarships funded by generous donors for years, and several other scholarships that all are directed toward students pursuing degrees or certifications in healthcare.
The scholarships vary in criteria, but all applicants must have a GPA of 2.75 or higher and full time students must be taking 9 or more credits. Some scholarships require a Work Commitment Agreement with Benefis while others do not.
There is a single application and June 1 deadline for all scholarships offered through the Healthcare Scholarship Program.* The Healthcare Scholarship Program Committee determines which scholarship(s) each applicant is eligible for, based on criteria, and then the selection process begins. The award maximum is $2,500 a semester or $5,000 a year and is based on funds available.
