Corette Library Announces New Director
The Corette Library is excited to announce Dr. Jennifer Oates has joined us as our new Library Director. Jennifer is a librarian and musicologist who spent the past eighteen years as Head of the Music Library and adjunct professor of music at Queens College, the City University of New York, where she transformed an outdated library into a welcoming, safe space that serves as a technology hub for the School of Music and cultivated the strongest music research collection in the City University of New York system. She brings her passions for making the inaccessible accessible and creating positive and empowering user experiences to Corette Library.
Jennifer commented on her arrival: "I am very excited to join Carroll College. The college’s emphasis on 'living and learning' strongly resonates with me. Libraries offer a unique opportunity to facilitate this motto by serving as a campus hub that supports the academic needs of students and provides a welcoming space that encourages community and connection. I look forward to working with the outstanding people in the Jack and Sally Corette Library and the Simperman Learning Commons to renovate and create an innovative and dynamic campus hub."
Join us in welcoming Jennifer to Carroll College!
