Our scholarship is going to be awarded to the individual who best shows their understanding of the importance of an online presence and how it shapes and impacts businesses today.
In today’s competitive environment, the majority of businesses and companies have an aggressive online presence. Even employees who aren’t directly related to managing this online site need to understand its importance, and how it impacts the business as a whole.
Regardless of if you are running a cash register, selling a new product via a cold call or working in the field, understanding how an online presence helps businesses grow and develop is imperative, as this is a factor that will impact businesses today, and in the future.
With the above information in mind, students interested in applying for this scholarship should submit a 1,500-word essay on the importance of an online presence and even show examples of how it has impacted businesses in the past. Highlighting examples of both successes and failures in the essay is highly recommended, as this will help the selection board determine who fully grasps the concept.
REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY
- Provide proof of acceptance to an accredited university or college, with technical colleges being allowed, too.
- Have a GPA of at least 3.5.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- All students are invited to apply, regardless of year, including those seeking their Master’s degree.
APPLICATION PROCESS
- Submit the aforementioned essay of 1,500 words to scholarships@onblastblog.com in PDF format
- Use creativity and highlight specific examples within the essay while abstaining from any profanity or vulgarity.
- Use the essay to showcase your use of English, making sure it’s free from any grammar errors and illustrating a full understanding of the topic.
- Post your essay to your blog or a reputable website with a link back to OnBlastBlog.
- Use the form at the bottom of this page to submit your application and URL.
- No changes can be made after the essay is submitted.
SELECTION PROCESS
- To be considered, all essays must be received by July 1, 2019 by 8 am ET
- Winner of the scholarship will be announced on July 15, 2019
- Winner will be required to provide proof of acceptance to the college or university, as well as proof of their high school diploma (or equivalent)
- Winner will be notified via email and if no reply is received within 30 days, a new winner will be chosen.
