At National Bio-CARE, we work with a wide variety of clients in healthcare professions, and we place a high value on public health. We appreciate the contributions of healthcare workers like doctors, pharmacists, nurses, medical technicians, nursing assistants, and many others. However, we realize that the expense of getting a college degree can be a barrier to many promising students in healthcare fields. For that reason, we are offering a $500 scholarship to a student who is planning to enter the medical field at any level.
To apply for the scholarship, students should write an essay discussing the importance of proper disposal of medical waste. The essay should begin by providing a definition of medical waste and then give several detailed examples of waste materials, how to dispose of them, and potential consequences of improper disposal. The essay should be anywhere from 500 to 750 words in length.

REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY
- You must be at least 16 years of age and hold a GED or high school diploma.
- You must be accepted by or currently attending any accredited two-year or four-year college in the U.S.
APPLICATION PROCESS
- Write an original essay on the topic described above and save it as a .doc file. Your essay should be a minimum of 500 words, and it should not exceed 750 words.
- Write an email to nbcscholarship@gmail.com telling us who you are, where you plan to attend school, and what degree you hope to attain.
- Attach your document to the email. Links to Google Docs or Office 365 documents will not be accepted.
- Send your email by midnight on June 1, 2019 in order to be considered.
