More than ever, the world needs leaders in business who bring as much integrity and character to the table as they do knowledge and acumen. And since the skills it takes to effectively lead in business can be applied across the broad spectrum of professional fields, pursuing your degree in business can open new worlds of opportunity. Business-related jobs are listed in among jobs in high demand. In June 2020, LinkedIn listed accountants (CPAs) as the number one job with the fastest growing demand and CPAs were among the top 10 of most in-demand jobs.
The Programs
Students interested in studying business at Carroll can choose from a variety of degree programs, areas of specialization, and minors. As a business student here, you’ll be exposed to the theory and practice of business, gain a solid foundation in business principles, explore the ever-expanding role of technology and innovation in business, and strengthen your understanding of the importance of ethics.
The Business Department’s mission is consistent with Carroll College’s dual goals of vocation and enlightenment and prepares students for graduate school or entry into the workforce. Framed by a strong foundation in liberal arts education, the mission of the Business Department is to provide students with the strong ethical foundation and globally informed knowledge and skills necessary for today’s dynamic professional environment.
