Numberical Equivalences: This is the translation table I use for turning a qualitative (letter) grade into a quantitative grade for final grade calculation.  Each qualitative grade has a basic description that I use when assigning it.

POLICY ON LATE PAPERS: The instructor (me) reserves the right to dock unexcused late papers 1/2 the numeric equivalent of the paper's grade.  An unexcused late paper would normally include any paper turned in late with no excuse, or with an excuse after the fact.  If you forsee some legitimate difficulty that would prevent you from turning in your paper on time, you should contact me beforehand.
