Installing MathReader 4 for Linux

To install MathReader 4 for Linux, follow these steps.
  1. Gunzip and untar the MathReader 4 tarball. In a shell, type                         

    # tar zxvf MathReader-V4_0_2_0-Linux.tar.gz.

  2. See the ReadMe file in the MathReader-V4_0_2_0-Linux/Files/   directory for further information.                             

    (Note: For all users to have access to MathReader 4, you must run the installer as root.)

  3. Change to the directory containing the installer. In a shell, type                          

    # cd Installers/Linux

    # ./MathReaderInstaller

  4. Double-click the MathReader 4 icon to launch MathReader 4,or view one of the demos at http://library.wolfram.com/demos.
