Pimples on the Vagina?

Question:

Two pimple on the vagina lip?

Dear Student:

 I’m thinking you’re asking what these are and what you should do about them. They could be pimples similar to what you would get on your face. You can get them anywhere on your body. They could be ingrown hairs which is common in this area. If they are painful I would apply warm wet packs to the area for 20 minutes 4x/day or soak in a tub. This brings increaesed blood flow to the area which helps fight the infection and can help bring the pimples to a head so they can drain. Do not pick at them. If they have not resolved within a week, or the pain is increased with fever or drainage, I would suggest having them looked at. We would be happy to see  you in the Wellness Center. Occasionally, you may need antibiotics or if they continue to get bigger they may need drained.
