Register for Senior Experience 2008 (LAS 489)!

You've made it - you're going to be a senior! But what has this experience at Carroll really meant? What do you want from your final semesters here?

Start your last year at Carroll with peers and professors in the magnificent mountains just beyond Helena. The Senior Experience is a two-day, one-credit interdisciplinary course at Camp Child (just on the other side of McDonald Pass) open to all students who will be seniors next fall. We leave campus late morning on Thursday, August 21, and return around noon on Saturday, August 23. No extra fee, but enrollment is limited, so register early.

Creating a Sense of Place

The Theme for Senior Experience 2008 is "Creating a Sense of Place." Join us as we reflect on this extraordinary place - Carroll, Montana, the West - and our own lives here.

Sample activities from last year's Senior Experience: strenuous hiking with Kyle Strode and wimpy hiking with Debra Bernardi; Grant Hokit on wildlife in the area; stargazing with Kelly Cline; morning bird walks with Gerry Shields; yoga with Lauri Fahlberg; Jennifer Geiger on Native Plants; meditation with Jonathan Matthews; and Murphy Fox on storytelling techniques and the history of Native Americans in Montana.

Plus: volleyball games, faculty vs. student canoe races, campfire stories, skits,  ‘Smores, and more!

How To Register

Senior Experience 2008 is a credited class (LAS 489) and you register for it as you would any other class. Go to the Square on March 25-26 when you're signing up for Fall Classes!
