Any student not already in residence from summer housing who arrives prior to the official return dates is considered an Early Arrival.
Early Arrival is designated primarily for those returning students approved by a department and/or organization whose activities directly contribute toward new student orientation and/or require meeting before classes begin.
Students returning prior to the official return dates who are authorized by the individual department supervisors/coaches. All communications for checking in will occur between the department and the student.
Personal Early Arrival is intended for continuing and incoming students who need to return/come to Carroll one to two days prior to the official return dates in order to attend to personal college-related business/tasks (e.g., medical appointment as part of a return from a Medical Leave of Absence), and/or other exceptional circumstances. Pre-approved personal early arrival students will be charged $25/day. To request a personal early arrival for fall, please contact Jenni Farlow at email@example.com (email is the preferred method) or 406-447-4419.
PLEASE NOTE that your personal Early Arrival request must be submitted at least five (5) business days prior to the requested date of arrival. Please do not make your travel arrangements prior to being approved as you may not be granted access to your fall housing assignment.
PERSONAL EARLY ARRIVAL IS NOT INTENDED FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO SETTLE INTO THEIR ROOM EARLY.
The Early Arrival Desk is located in the Trinity Hall main lobby.
Students approved to arrive early either as a department sponsored early arrival student or as a confirmed personal early arrival student should report to the Early Arrival Desk in order to receive their room key and check in paperwork.
The desk will be open from 9am-5pm on days that have larger groups arriving. Students who need to arrive outside of these hours should contact Jenni Farlow at firstname.lastname@example.org (email is the preferred method) or 406-447-4419 for arrangements.
Note: Students who have not been approved as Departmental or Personal Early Arrival may not be permitted to move into College Housing. If a walk-up request is approved, you may be charged $100/day. We encourage you to contact other off-campus resources for other available housing options should your needs fall outside of the Early Arrival guidelines.
If your group is not on this list, please contact the department supervisor.
