ONE BILLION RISING – A free world dance performance of local dance troupes rising and dancing will be held in support of the one billion women who have been sexually assaulted in their lifetimes. The highlight of the evening will be Native American jingle dancers performing a healing dance for the one billion survivors, 7 to 9 PM, February 14th, in the Placer lobby (the Taco Del Sol building). The Prospector work study position still awaits a highly responsible outgoing optimistic student, with good grades, who is willing to manage the Prospector office, sell advertising to local businesses and help with production of the paper each month. Access to a car is helpful, to visit local businesses - and to pick up papers on distribution day. This is real work, but one with real rewards.
