On January 11th-15th, we will be driving up to Browning for another Headlights immersion trip with the De La Salle brothers and the Blackfeet people. It is an amazing opportunity to experience a beautiful culture and also encounter the many challenges that face our brothers and sisters to the north. We work with the youth of the tribe in the De La Salle school, as well as help at the Medicine Bear street people shelter. Please consider this trip, because it will forever change your life and understanding of people who live on the margins of society daily. The cost is $175, but the payoff is a life changing! Sign up here.
Please contact Dan Thies for further questions.
In March 2015 our Campus Ministry Headlights trips will be going to Los Angelas, CA, Denver, CO, and to Kansas City, MO during spring break from March 8th - March 14th. These trips are opportunities to immerse yourself in an experience that will help you to better understand the realities and needs of people with economic, education, cultural and social challenges. Though there are three different trips, all trips will focus on an understanding of Catholic Social Teaching, a chance to meet people whose lives are dedicated to Social Justice, an opportunity to encounter people who live in the reality of poverty and homelessness, and also a chance to interact with children in educational settings. Reflection and prayer are also vital components of the trip. These trips are open to students of all faiths, because diversity in viewpoints allows us all to grow as a community.
Cost of the trip is $250. Please email Dan Thies if you have any questions.
If you want to get more involved in Campus Ministry, email Katie Murray and we can help get you plugged in.
