Select a reference work on your topic by browsing the reference collection.  Remember to use the Library of Congress Classification handout to subject browse.

 

When beginning a library research project, the best place to start is often the reference collection.  If you cannot find a reference work relevant to your topic, ask a reference librarian for help.  General encyclopedias, such as World Book or Britannica, are not acceptable for this exercise.
