IMPACT Annual Fund

“I cannot thank you enough for helping me be able to go to Carroll. This place has been such a blessing, and without financial help, I would not be here. I am studying theology and philosophy, and my post-graduation plans are to be a youth minister for a church. This education has not only been academic, but it has transformed my heart. Thank you again for your generosity. You will be in my prayers.”
Karen Roybal, Carroll College Senior

You have an opportunity to IMPACT others!

Funds raised through Carroll College’s IMPACT Annual Fund touch the everyday lives of students and are applied in a variety of ways. IMPACT Fund contributions are used to meet the College’s most pressing needs - keeping tuition down, providing scholarship assistance, conducting critical building renovations, securing vital equipment for student use, and maintaining the natural beauty of campus.

Annual gifts are made through the IMPACT Fund. Annual gifts of $1,000 or more will be recognized through membership in the St. Charles Borromeo Guild - the College’s leadership gift society that debuted in Fall, 2004.

Carroll students have begun calling alumni to raise student scholarship support for IMPACT Annual Fund. New this year is the $5,000 Trustee Match Challenge for those who make their first gift to Carroll. Learn more below.

In Their Own Words - Students Express Their Thanks

"I grew up on a ranch about 17 miles outside of Sunburst, Montana. My two sisters and I are all in college now, which makes it hard to attend a private college such as Carroll. Your partnership in my dream to become a pediatric nurse is greatly appreciated!" Cherry Tomsheck

"Ever since the seventh grade, I have dreamed of coming to Carroll to further my education toward becoming a doctor of dermatology. I am a triplet. My two brothers and I just turned 20 in June. My parents left it up to us to pay for our own education, so I just wanted to say thank you." Abby Feeback

"I have decided to major in psychology and minor in communication and hope to someday go into counseling for abused adolescents. I just wanted to say thank you so much for your contribution to my education. Without donors like you, it would be impossible for some of us to go to school." Bridget Jackson

"I come from a single parent family in the small town of Shelby, Montana. I have learned the value of a dollar, and it is generosity like yours that makes it possible for me to attend a private school. As my mother is a special education teacher, she values a quality education and it was her wish for me to be able to attend Carroll College." John Steinbacher

"I look back on my last three years and realized that I have received a wonderful education, met inspiring people and continued to grow in my faith. None of this would be possible without your kindness and financial support." Veronica Hagfeldt

"This year, I am a Kirchen Minister working with sophomores in St. Charles Hall. I can honestly say that Carroll is truly a family and not only provides a great education but also helps students discover who they really are and become someone great in every area of their lives. I am so thankful for the amazing gift of my time at Carroll. Thank you for helping me have this opportunity." Alex Woelkers

"I am currently a junior nursing student at Carroll College and am originally from Whitefish, Montana. My father passed away when I was young and my mother did not remarry. I have two older siblings attending college as well, which has made money tight for a while. So, thank you for your generosity." Jenny Streich

"My mother practiced as an RN for over 20 years. In 1996, she became suddenly ill and ended up having to receive a heart transplant. We found out later that it was a virus that attacked her heart. It devastates my mother to be prohibited to practice as an RN, and I believe in my chance to carry on the torch. I am a sophomore nursing student, and I love learning and teaching for the benefit of my patients and their families. I plan to be part of a practice in Portland that is determined to change the paradigm of the current medical system. This is my passion, and I thank you for your help in my time of need." Meghann Moran

"I come from a poor family, so I am putting myself through college. I will be the first to graduate with a bachelor's degree. Thank you for helping me reach my dreams." Alicia Telena

"I would like to say thank you on behalf of my mom. She has tried so hard to give me the education she never received. Without your help, I really would not be able to attend Carroll this year. I feel so blessed that you are helping me with my dreams of one day working in pediatric oncology." Jen Weisser

Father Gene Peoples Book

To inspire and reward generosity to IMPACT, Carroll College is offering a limited edition commemorative book on the life of the late Father Gene Peoples, a longtime and beloved Carroll professor. Touching the lives of thousands on campus and in the Helena community, Fr. Gene led a life of service that included a personal commitment to supporting student scholarships and helping Carroll students in financial duress. Fr. Gene died on December 5, 2005, of natural causes at the age of 65. Upon his death, he left Carroll students a legacy scholarship gift that he hoped would make a college education possible for those in financial need.

Remembering Father Gene Peoples: Sacramental Recollections details the life of Fr. Gene and the impact he made on the lives of those who loved him. With photos from Fr. Gene's private collection and a lively text, this book is only available to those who offer a new or renewed gift to IMPACT.

To receive the Fr. Gene memorial book, those giving to IMPACT for the first time must make a $50 gift. For those already giving to IMPACT, increasing their current gift by $50 will qualify them to receive the book. In addition, new members of the St. Charles Borromeo Guild will receive a copy of the Fr. Gene Peoples Book. If you have any questions about receiving a Fr.
