At the beginning of the 20th century, Bishop John Patrick Carroll, second Bishop of the Diocese of Helena, had a dream to build a Catholic college in western Montana. In 1909, that dream became reality when William Howard Taft, 27th President of the United States, helped lay the cornerstone of St. Charles Hall.
Carroll College was part of Bishop Carroll's Legacy and the College remains strong today because of his vision for the future, his dedication and sacrifice. Centennial Legacy Society honors donors who have made Carroll a part of their legacy through a charitable planned gift. Over the years, Carroll has been blessed with many benefactors who have provided an estate gift for the purpose of advancing the College to new and higher levels of achievement.
Carroll's professional staff can help establish your personal legacy of giving-and we invite you to join the ranks of other caring members who belong to the Centennial Legacy Society. To be eligible for membership:
By making a gift through your will, you will be assured that your generosity will touch countless generations of future students at Carroll. Upon receipt of such documentation, participants are enrolled in the Centennial Legacy Society. Once enrolled, membership is in effect throughout the individual's lifetime.
If you've already included the Carroll College in your will, we encourage you to let us know so that we may enter your name on the Centennial Legacy Society Honor Roll.
Involvement in the Centennial Legacy Society gives you the opportunity to enjoy the company of others who, like yourself, care about leaving a legacy to protect and strengthen the College.
Each year, the College holds an exclusive annual event for Legacy Society members. Members are recognized in publications, in the Legacy Society's membership Honor Roll (only with your permission) and at events such as our President's Dinner. During the Centennial year members will receive VIP invitations for events.
You may always choose to remain anonymous in your philanthropy. However, participation in the Centennial Legacy Society can be an inspirational experience, and may encourage others to look toward the future and how they too may have an enduring impact on the causes they care about.
