Assistant Professor Creative Writing – Department of Languages and Literature

Carroll College, a private, Catholic diocesan, liberal arts college located in Helena, Montana is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor in creative writing with an emphasis in fiction.  The position is responsible for teaching multi-genre creative writing from the introductory to advanced undergraduate level, so teaching poetry is also required.  The successful applicant will possess an MFA or PhD and a substantial record of publication.  Teaching experience in areas such as non-fiction prose, screenwriting, world literature, and first-year seminar is welcomed but not required.  All members of the English department teach literature courses and one section of freshman composition per year; the course load is 4/3.   For more information about Carroll College, Carroll’s English program, and to view Carroll’s mission statement, please visit www.carroll.edu.
