Level II Avalanche Course-3/24-27

Who: Everyone

What: Level 2 Avalanche Course and certification. Avalanche courses in Big Sky with AAA certfied instructors that meet American Avalanche Association guidelines for avalanche education. Learn what you need to know before your next backcountry adventure! Many subjects covered included techniques that improve beacon search proficeicne, recognizing signs of instability and evaluating hazards, interpreting snowpit data, and much more! Must have completed level I prior to taking level II.

Where: Big Sky Resort

When: Level II Avalanche Course March 24-27 (32 hours).

Mountain Bike Mondays

  • Who: All Carroll College students at all ability levels
  • What: Mountain biking the South hill trails of Helena
  • When: Every Monday
  • Where: Meet outside the CUBE at 5pm

Trail Run Tuesdays

  • Who: Anyone interested in exploring the scenic mountains of Helena through running the trails with other fellow explorers!
  • What: Beginner to intermediate trail runs. Make sure you have a good pair of running shoes as the trails are rocky and can get steep at some points. This adventure may turn into snowshoeing or cross country skiing as the snow begins to fall. Explore Helena, make new friends, be outside, exerceise and take a break froms studying!
  • Where: The mountains of Helena, such as Mt. Helena and Mt. Ascension. With trails like Rodney Meadow, Waterline, Roger Fuchs, Highway to Hell, Top of the World, Log Fume, Emmits trail and many more.
  • When: 5:00pm every Tuesday. We will meet outside of the CUBE.
