Anyone Drive To Billings Often Enough To Know Which Road Is Best ????

Any route to escape the divide that is not just as treacherous??? I do want to see my mother again some time this winter.... :) Thanks!

Other than going the Bozeman to Billings ways. there is the Great Falls to Billings route which is all two-lane roads. this way is longer and more hazardous. and leaving Helena on the interstate toward Butte is also too long and has acouole of passes on it. so your best bet is so head out to East Helena, through Townsend, then turn onto the Interstate 90 and head straight to Billings. (These Roads were clear on Sunday.)

I agree you should go through east helena, townsand, bozeman that way. We used to drive to billings every weekend and thats the only way we would go its the best way i think.

go the townsend/bozeman way. its not as far, plus you can stop at the Wheat Montana store...the real one. Cept watch out for the tractors on the road after Raidersburg...cuz they are slow slow slow! Oh and pass with care...the hill hide cars sometimes.
