LOCATION: Connell High School
Criteria Necessary:
Valid Washington Teaching Certificate
-Endorsements in area(s) to be taught
-Excellent knowledge of contact area
-Experience in Sheltered English techniques preferred
-Ability to teach reading fluency and comprehension
-Willingness to participate in professional development
-Commitment to motivating and teaching all students including at risk students
-Utilize appropriate assessment planning and diagnostic methods and evaluation techniques
-Maintain a positive climate conducive to student learning
-Utilizes effective teaching methods, strategies, modifications, alternatives etc., for learning to occur for all students.
-Ability to motivate students and provide relevant and active learning experience
-Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and community
-Computer technology background preferred
-Spanish/English bilingual preferred
