The movie "Riding in Cars With Boys" was a sweet movie. It seemed pretty authentic.

There are quite a few movies about teens who get pregnant, but this one seemed closer to the truth than most.

“Riding in Cars” is a story about an unpopular girl named Beverly (Drew Barrymore) who goes to a party to tell a preppy jock how much she loves him. However, once she gets her courage up to tell him, he tears her heart into tiny bits. Beverly runs into a bathroom crying and only one person seems to care – a stoned guy named Raymond.

Beverly is so grateful, she goes for a ride in the car with Ray. The outing comes to a halt when Beverly's dad, who is a cop, shines a light in the car window.

She promises that nothing happened, but little did she know she was pregnant. (Every teen's worst nightmare for both boy and girl)

"Riding in Cars With Boys" is a movie about Beverly’s struggle to make it through life being a mother during her teen years, getting through high school, and living with a drug-addict husband.

I really liked this movie because it didn't soften any blows or make all of the hard issues appear silly. It was sad that the father of the little boy was a druggie, but drugs are becoming more and more of an issue in society today. So is underage sex.

I don't think, however, that if you do get pregnant, that you should blame the baby. They didn't tell you to get into the bed with that person. They're just the end result of a choice you made. The best one can do in any situation is survive.

No matter how hard the times are, life is worth living and things will get better. The choices you make can really affect your life. One or two days can change your entire life.

I loved the end scene. I won't spoil it, but I have to say it was very touching. This isn't a very happy movie, but, on the whole, it was a sweet movie about survival, family, and love.
