Saints get tough win over MSU-Northern

The Carroll College volleyball team got the win they needed Thursday night, and they did it with a few new faces.

The Saints fought off the MSU-Northern Lights over five tough games and without three of their girls in the regular rotation.

It didn’t matter much as true freshman Haylee Otteson had her best game of the season and the rest of the ladies rallied around her to win 30-21, 25-30, 30-21, 20-28, 15-9. Story

Saints beat Bulldogs

The Carroll College volleyball team had three players with double-digit kills for the first time this year as they downed UM-Western, 30-20, 30-19, 28-30, 30-27.

Sammy Priddy led the Saints with 14 kills while Lindsey Lyman had 12 and Haylee Otteson contributed 11. Otteson’s came with just one error while she was also in on nine blocks.

“They got a lot of swings and took advantage of the open floor, and I don’t think we’ve done that very consistently this year,” said Carroll head coach Mo Boyle. “Our outside hitters really played well tonight and our defense.” Story

Saints volleyball loses to Rocky

Nothing went right for the Carroll College volleyball team as they were swept by Rocky Mountain College in three straight games Friday night. The Saints picked up speed after their first game, but couldn’t keep up, dropping their match 30-9, 30-21, 30-27.

“We didn’t quite get off the bus,” said Carroll head coach Mo Boyle.

One major problem, the team had 31 kills and 37 errors. Story
