Even though the national media and the rest of the country may be slow to notice, the people of Helena are firmly afflicted with Saints football fever. Five years ago, Carroll built a new stadium with 4,200 seats. In 2005, the Saints averaged 5,500 fans a game, with overflow seating filling a hillside next to the field. Carroll is also home to nationally ranked soccer, volleyball and men’s and women’s basketball teams.
"We're very fortunate at Carroll to have a community that has taken us on as their team," Carroll Director of Athletics Bruce Parker said. "They support us by attending events and they support us financially, and we in turn as an athletic program have responded by putting a great product on the field."
