Carroll College head soccer coach Dave Thorvilson announced the late addition of Brittany Girolami to the 2013 recruiting class on Thursday.
Girolami has been the starting right back for one of the top soccer clubs in Canada. She played the majority of her career with the Calgary Foothills Voltage team that participated in many of the top showcase tournaments in the US. She was also a member of the Calgary Selects that won gold in the Alberta Summer Games in 2010.

The Carroll College soccer team announced two more signings Tuesday, as Michaela Kueffler of Billings and Sidney Batkoff of Spokane, Wash., will join the Saints this fall.
Kueffler was a four-year varsity player for Billings Senior, where she helped guide her team to a state title in 2011 and runner-up finish in 2012. She was also academic all-state the last three seasons, in addition to being a National Honor Society member with a 3.84 GPA. Off the pitch, Kueffler is involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Batkoff played high school soccer for Gonzaga Prep. The team most recently finished the season in the regional playoffs. Batkoff has played for many club teams over the years as well, and is currently playing for the Spokane soccer club Shadow. She played for the Idaho State Olympic Development Program from 2010-12 and attended the Regional Camp for two years. Off the field Batkoff has been a National Honor Society member and honor roll recipient while holding numerous volunteer positions.
The Carroll College soccer program announced the signing of three more athletes for the 2013 recruiting class Wednesday.
Cassidy Hammons, Jessica Geibel and Jamie Carter have all signed NAIA letters of intent to play soccer for the Saints.
Hammons, a midfielder from Boise, Idaho, has been a four-year varsity soccer player for Rocky Mountain High School. She was an all-state selection in 2012 as well as an All-Southern Idaho Conference first-team pick. Hammons has a 4.0 GPA and has made honor roll every year of high school. She plans to study pre-physical therapy at Carroll.

The Carroll College women’s soccer team announced the signing Tuesday of two players. Ylena Gazdik of Boise, Idaho, and Natalie Johnston of Snohomish, Wash., will join the Saints next fall.
As a member of the Bishop Kelly High team, Gazdik won three high school state championships from 2010 to 2012. Her team was ranked in the top 10 nationally in 2011, and last fall Bishop Kelly surpassed Billings Central Catholic for most consecutive wins with its 51st in a row to move into the top spot in the U.S. In 2010, Gazdik received all-conference honorable mention, and in 2011 and 2012 was an all-conference first-team selection.
Johnston, who played her high school soccer for Glacier Peak, was the only freshman to make the varsity squad in 2009. That year she helped the team make it to the quarterfinals of the state tournament. In 2010, the team went 14-0-0 in conference play and finished 18-2-1 overall, which included qualifying for the state tournament.

Carroll College defender Madi O’Dell was named a 2012 NAIA women’s soccer All-American honorable mention on Monday. O’Dell, a freshman from Littleton, Colo., started all 17 games for a Saints team that finished 12-2-3 overall and 4-2 in the Frontier Conference while finishing one league loss short of a chance to play for an NAIA National Championship berth. O’Dell had three goals and an assist on the season.

Eight Carroll College soccer players were named 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Senior defender Laura Beck (Helena), junior midfielder McKinley Dennis (Eugene, Ore.), junior midfielder Kailey Edgar (Eagle, Idaho), junior forward Haley Jensen (Clancy), senior midfielder Rachell Kuntz (Bismark, N.D.), senior midfielder Laura Maddock (Bismark, N.D.), junior defender Bridget McIntyre (Buffalo, Wyo.) and junior defender Paige Williams (Lakewood, Colo.) made the list.
