Carroll College head men's basketball coach Gary Turcott announced that Gerad Moser, a 5-foot-11 guard from South Puget Sound Community College, will join the Carroll College men's basketball program next season.

Moser was a key player at SPSCC this past season as a true freshman, averaging over 30 minutes and 7.5 points per game.

“Gerad possesses both the quickness and the toughness needed to play in our league. Although he will redshirt next year, his intensity will make everyone in practice have to work harder and become a better player," said Turcott.

Moser was also a standout player at Tonasket High School in Tonasket, Wash., where he played for current Carroll assistant coach Sol Jones.

Moser led the Caribou Trail League in scoring with 22 points per game his senior year, and earned first team All-Conference honors while leading the Tigers to the Washington Class A state tournament.

“I am excited to have the opportunity to play for a great program such as Carroll,” said Moser. “Carroll has a great reputation for both academics as well as basketball. I have a lot of respect for coach Turcott and the coaching staff, and there are great players on the team.”

Gerad is the son of Greg and Diane Moser and will have three years of eligibility remaining at Carroll following the completion of his redshirt year.
