DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Carroll College had nine players reach the scoring column as they downed Brewton-Parker 69-61 at the Embry Riddle Classic Friday.

Chad Vaculin had 13 points to lead the Saints. Derek Johnson and Eder Zuniga each scored 10.

Zuniga had a key play with six minutes to go, completing a 3-point play to give the Saints the lead for good.

"That gave us a big boost," Carroll College coach Gary Turcott said.

Turcott was also pleased with the play of Chris Kaschmitter, who played well defensively against Brewton Parker's 6-foot-9 post Maurice Veal. Veal finished with six points on the night.

The Saints will play again today against an opponent to be determined.
