Athletic Trainer: Brian Coble, MS, ATC, LAT

Education: BS  Exercise Physiology with a concentration in Athletic Training from College of Charleston ‘95, Charleston, SC;    MS  Exercise Science from California University of Pennsylvania ‘03, California, PA.
Hometown: Lexington, SC

Brian is entering his 11th year at Carroll as the Head Athletic Trainer. Brian has been a Certified Athletic trainer for 18 years.  Brian’s primary assignments are football, Mens and Womens Golf and Cheerleading. Prior to Carroll College, he worked with Oregon Sports Medicine Associates in Tulatin, OR for six years. Brian’s other experiences include working at Health South in North Carolina and at Assumption College in Worcester, MA.

Brian is Interested in strength and conditioning, primarily focusing on Olympic lifting, speed and plyometrics. In his spare time Brian enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors hiking, climbing in the summer and skiing in the winter.

Athletic Trainer: Kristina Ward, MS, ATC, LAT

Education: BS in Athletic Training at Eastern Washington University ‘07, Cheney, WA;  MS in Exercise Science from Marshall University ‘10, Huntington, WV.

Hometown: Manhattan, MT

Kristina enters her 5th year as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for Carroll College. Her primary sport assignments will be Women’s Soccer, Women’s Basketball as well as assisting with Men’s and Women’s Track and Field and Cross Country. Prior to coming to Carroll Kristina was a GA athletic trainer at Marshall University where she worked with Volleyball, Track and Field, Softball as well as Football. Prior to Marshall she was a student athletic training student at Eastern Washington University where she assisted with both Football and Men’s Basketball.

When not serving the student athletes of Carroll College; Kris enjoys spending time with her Yellow Lab Jackson and competing in the Montana Cowboy Polo Association.

Athletic Trainer: Jake Ritter, MEd, ATC, LAT, GT Provider

Education: BS in athletic training from Eastern Washington ‘10 at Cheney, WA and MEd in Sport Management from Millersville University ’12 Millersville, PA

Hometown: Juneau, AK

Jake enters his third year at Carroll College as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. His primary sport assignments are Volleyball, Men’s Basketball as well as assisting with Men’s and Women’s Track and Field and Cross Country. Prior to coming to Carroll Jake was a GA Athletic Trainer at Millersville University. His primary responsibilities at MU were Men’s Basketball, Wrestling, and Field Hockey as well as assisting with all other varsity sports. Prior to Millersville Jake was an athletic training student at Eastern Washington University where he assisted with Men’s Basketball and Men’s Tennis and in his senior year assisted with all Varsity sports at North Idaho Community College in Coeur d’Alene, ID.

When not working with Carroll College athletics Jake enjoys spending time outdoors camping and mountain biking, walking his dogs.

Team Physician: Dr. John D. Michelotti

Hometown: Butte, MT

Dr. Michelotti, a ’90 Carroll College grad and Carroll Fighting Saint football athlete, is second generation Carroll football player as his father played for Carroll as well. Dr. Michelotti earned his medical degree from the University of Washington in Seattle and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at their Affiliated Hospitals. Afterwards, he was selected for advanced fellowship training in sports medicine at the Steadman-Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colorado, where he worked with the Denver Broncos, the Colorado Rockies, and the United States ski team.

In addition to serving the student athletes of Carroll College Dr.Michelotti also serves the Helena, Brewers, US Ski Team and local high schools.  

Team Chiropractor: Dr. David Demey

Education: BS in Sport Medicine from Fresno State ’95, DC from Palmer College of Chiropractic West 

Dr. DeMey has been practicing Chiropractic since 2009. Dr. DeMey developed an interest in natural approaches to healthcare in his mid-twenties after he ruptured a disk in his low back while in college. After being told by two neurosurgeons that he would definitely require surgery to alleviate his pain, he sought treatment from a chiropractor.  Within a handful of treatments he was virtually pain free. It was then that his career path changed and he enrolled at Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California.  There he graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors and as Valedictorian of his class.  Dr. DeMey was also honored with Clinical Excellence, Virgil V. Strang Philosophy, and Student Fellowship awards. Dr.Demey currently runs the chiropractic clinic Trilogy Chiropractic.
