Bruce Parker formally announced Bennett MacIntyre as the Men's and Women's Golf Coach on February 1, 2007. Bennett is the third head coach at Carroll College since the program started up again in 1998.
Ben played high school golf locally for Helena Capital High School and then went on to golf at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, CA.
‘‘We are very excited to have Bennett MacIntyre head up our golf program,’’ Parker said in a news release. Ben is a regular in amateur events across the state and is known in the golf community for his long drives.
‘‘I’m really excited to be a part of what is going on in athletics at Carroll College at this time,’’ said MacIntyre. ‘‘My goal is to make Carroll golf an annual contender in the Frontier Conference. We are going to work hard to develop our current players, and as with our other sports programs, continue to recruit the quality student athletes that make Carroll so special. Carroll has a rich tradition of excellence in the classroom and on the field; I want to instill that same excellence on the golf course.”
Ben, an avid golfer and sports enthusiast, spent the previous five years in San Diego working at the University of San Diego in Student Affairs.
“I love the game of golf and that is what I am looking for in every Carroll student who sets foot on a golf course,” MacIntyre added.
Ben worked at Green Meadow Country Club (Helena, MT) from '94-'98 with Head Pro and former Carroll Golf Coach/Alum Ray Hunthausen as well as former University of Montana Golf Coach Joanne Steele (North Florida). Ben also worked at the North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village, CA in 1999.

He took 2nd in 2009. Ben's lowest round ever is an (-11) under 61 during a tournament.
