The Student Undergraduate Research Festival (SURF) is an annual celebration of individual and team research projects by students during their academic careers at Carroll College. Students are encouraged to undertake a research project in an area in which they have necessary background, are currently pursuing their major and/or even outside of their major during their academic career at Carroll. During the festival event in April, students will provide a formal presentation to fellow peers, faculty members and Carroll College guests on their research project(s). Students interested in participating in a research project and/or participating in SURF should begin exploring areas of research interest and planning as early as possible. Students are encouraged to attend the various presentations during the festival to help celebrate the Carroll students’ research.
For more information on SURF and participation, please contact SURF@carroll.edu.
This year, our SURF celebration will take place on Tuesday, April 26, 2016.
If you do choose to participate, you will need to fill out the "Commitment to Participate" form and submit it to SURF@carroll.edu no later than January 29, 2016. Be certain to work closely with a faculty advisor while preparing your SURF presentation.
If you do not decide to present at SURF this year, please support your fellow students by attending the sessions on April 26.
