Department Chair and Associate Professor, earned his M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Denver. His teaching reflects what he experienced while on sabbatical during the 2000-01 academic year working in the private and public sectors. He maintains a busy schedule with family, church and competitive race walking.

Course Taught: Database Design and Implementation, Software Engineering,  Senior Project and Enhanced Computer Technologies.

Assistant Professor, earned is MS in Computer Science at Montana State University and is Cisco Instructor certified. His academic interests are in computer networks and security. He also enjoys the outdoors, skiing, hiking, music and good food.

Courses Taught: Business Applications, Computer Networking I and II, Computer and Network Security, Software Engineering, and Operating Systems

Philip Rose

Professor, received his M.S. in computation from Oxford University. His special interests include cryptography, J.R.R. Tolkien, Charles Dickens, and musicals from the 1930’s, 40’s, and 50’s. During his free time he enjoys reading, stocking his woodpile, and trying unsuccessfully to clear the knapweed from his land.

Courses Taught: Introduction to Computer Science: C++Programming, Data Structures & Program Design, Computer Architecture, Senior Seminar, Foundations of Mathematics, Modern Applications of Discrete Mathematics, Elementary Statistics, and Calculus I&II.
