Carroll TV Production Student

TV Production

TV Production

The TV Production minor helps students become practiced in critique of informed evaluation and critique of media as well as in development of original media products and in use of state-of-the-art editing equipment and software. The TV Production minor includes a career internship at a TV station, which further prepares students by acquainting them with the TV production industry. The TV Production minor prepares students for an increasingly mediated world by providing access to skills and experiences not available in any other program at Carroll College.

One such experience is Saints TV. Saints TV is an opportunity available to TV production minors. Saints TV is a monthly television program produced by Carroll College students, which includes news and features relevant to Carroll College and the local community. Saints TV producers and on-camera talent gain valuable experience in media production even while building a production resume.

Communicating via media is becoming increasingly common, and skills associated with producing media products are becoming increasingly valued and necessary. Thus TV production courses are potentially useful not only for Communication and Public Relations majors, but also for students in business administration, health sciences and social sciences.
