What Engineering programs do I have to choose from?
Civil Engineering Major
Carroll’s civil engineering program provides a combination of solid, technical preparation, a strong emphasis on written and oral communication skills, and a broad suite of humanities coursework. There are four areas of emphasis: structures, water resources, environmental engineering, and transportation systems.
Civil Engineering: Environmental Emphasis Major
The environmental engineering option (within the civil engineering major) is designed to produce graduates who are well prepared for professional, technical and scientific, engineering work in environmental clean-up, restoration, protection, and preservation. In addition, this major will produce graduates who can develop and implement green, sustainable engineering solutions.
Engineering Science Major
Engineering Science is a broad-based engineering major designed to prepare students to enroll directly into graduate programs including engineering mechanics, structural engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or environmental engineering.
Dual Degree (3-2) Program
Students choosing to study engineering under the 3-2 option earn a bachelor of arts in mathematics from Carroll in addition to a bachelor of science in engineering from one of our affiliated engineering schools.
Graduate 4-2 Program
To provide the widest range of opportunities for our civil engineering and mathematics majors Carroll offers the 4-2 program which leads to a masters degree in the engineering field of your choice.

Compromised pipeline discovered by Carroll student, remediation underway
Carroll College (Helena, Mont.), in partnership with the Montana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), announced this week that a Carroll student's discovery of a compromised gas line has led to remediation action to be completed in the next few weeks. Carroll Engineering Professor Willis Weight reports that his student, John Proulx, discovered the pipeline in Beaver Creek, located in Lewis and Clark County. The old, eroded line was exposed for several feet, with the visible line stretching above the stony creek bank and dangling above the flowing water. Story
